Taskpia Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026
Taskpia is a local-first productivity app. It runs entirely on your device. We do not have user accounts, do not run servers that store your content, and do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.
This page explains exactly what stays on your device, which Android permissions Taskpia uses, and what we do not do. By using Taskpia, you agree to this policy.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Taskpia is stored on your device only. None of this is uploaded, backed up to our servers, or shared with anyone:
- Your tasks, descriptions, due dates, reminders, and completion history.
- Photos you attach to tasks.
- Your focus session history, dam progress, and stats.
- Your settings, including which apps you have chosen to block during a focus session.
Taskpia has no servers that hold your content. If you uninstall the app, this information is removed from your device by Android along with the app.
Android permissions
Taskpia uses the following Android permissions to make its features work. None of these permissions cause anything to be transmitted off your device. Each permission is described below with what it does and what it does not do.
App blocker permissions
The app blocker is an opt-in feature. It runs only while a focus session is active and you have explicitly chosen apps to block.
Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS). Used only during an active focus session to detect when an app you have added to your block list is opened, so the focus reminder overlay can appear. Taskpia does not read, store, or send your app usage history.
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW). Used only during an active focus session to show the focus reminder on top of an app you have chosen to block.
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE). Keeps the app blocker responsive while a focus session is active. The service stops as soon as the session ends or you cancel it. It does not run in the background outside of an active session.
Installed apps query (launcher activities only). Taskpia reads the list of apps that have a launcher icon on your phone so you can pick which ones to block. This list is never transmitted off your device.
Photo and notification permissions
Camera and photo library. Used only when you tap the image button on a task and choose to take a photo or pick one from your gallery. The chosen photo is saved into Taskpia's app folder on your device. Taskpia does not access your camera or library at any other time, and does not upload photos.
Notifications, exact alarms, vibration, wake lock, and boot completed. Used to deliver task reminders, before-bed reminders, and end-of-session alerts at the times you have set. Reminder content stays on your device.
Do Not Disturb access. Optional. If you enable Zen Mode, Taskpia turns on the system Do Not Disturb mode at the start of a focus session and turns it off when the session ends.
What we do not do
- We do not run analytics in the app.
- We do not have user accounts and do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- We do not transmit your tasks, photos, focus history, or app block list off your device.
- We do not sell or share any of your information.
- We do not show ads.
Removing your information
Because everything stays on your device, you can remove all of your Taskpia information by uninstalling the app. Android removes the app's storage along with it. You can also clear individual items from inside the app.
Children
Taskpia is not directed at children under 13. Because Taskpia does not collect any personal information at all, no information about children is gathered by us. If a parent or guardian believes a child has installed Taskpia and would like the app removed, uninstalling Taskpia from the device removes its content.
Links to other websites
Some pages and parts of the app link to websites we do not operate, such as our blog or external articles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we recommend reviewing them before sharing any information.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
